Hi! Happy you are here! I'm Ashley and I am the owner of Joyful Events. We are a Vancouver based company specializing in Wedding & Event Coordination. We work with couples who've done the tough work of initial planning and need someone to execute everything on the day-of. Many couples want to plan their own wedding day or don't have the budget to hire a Wedding Planner. That is where we come in! Best of both worlds!We are here to guide you during your final months and planning and then coordinate and manage the vendors, details, and timelines on the day-of. We will be there as a calming force even during the most frantic moments! You, your family and your friends should enjoy the special moments and lets us take care of the behind-the-scenes. You deserve the day of your dreams, and we are here to help make that happen!Think of me as your very own Monica Gellar for your special day!
WHAT WE OFFER
You are getting married! How exciting! This is going to be one of the most memorable days of your life. We are here to take all the stress away so you can sit back, be present and enjoy with your loved ones.
We are untraditional in a sense that we don't offer package pricing. We feel that weddings are not a one size fits all, so your quote should not be. We recommend to meet before giving a quote to gather information about your wedding day and most importantly, to make sure we get along! After all, we are going to be spending a lot of time together!
We break down your quote in sections, the day of itself is self explanatory but we also include the hours of support prior to your big day. We do not believe in just showing up on your big day without any information prior. We feel that all our weddings run smoothly because we know the in's and out's of the day itself and that takes time! Looking for examples of what our responsibilities look like? See below

EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES PRIOR & ON YOUR BIG DAY
Unlimited email and phone support, guidance throughout the wedding planning process
Access to our custom spreadsheet with important details, checklists, etc
Vendor recommendations - photographer, DJ, band, officiant, florists, cake etc.
Take-over meeting to discuss final details
Timeline creation, with distribution 2 weeks before the event to all vendors this detailed timeline will have the day's schedule including the behind-the-scenes coordination and cues for all the moving parts of your big day. (i.e. ceremony processional, speeches, entrances, entertainment, announcements, etc.)
Coordination of the wedding ceremony rehearsal
All guests and vendor management including the supervision of all vendor arrivals, ensure your day is taken care of from start to finish
Décor setup, décor tear down, venue flip's (if applicable) and day-of payments as required.
Organize wedding party and family for processional/recessional
Cue musicians/DJ and family for the ceremony
Access to a wedding day "Bridal Emergency Kit" with bobby pins, stain remover, etc.

our process
Hooray you've got your wedding dream team! This is what its going to be like working with your Joyful Events Day-of Coordinator leading up to your wedding day
Step 1
Inquiry & Meet and Greet Call
Inquire through the contact us form. If we are available on your wedding date, we will set up a consultation to get to know each other where we discuss your wedding needs, plans and vision. We also think it's important to know more about you as a couple and discover if we are a good fit for your day - from there we will send you details with pricing. Every wedding is unique therefore your quote should be too!
step 2
Reserve Your Date
Once our meet & greet is completed we will send over our contact and payment terms for you to review. Once the contract is singed and the deposit is paid, your wedding is officially on our calendar!
step 3
Managment Phase
In the last few weeks leading up to the wedding, we move to execution mode. The planning is done, and it's time to finalize the details before the big day with you and all of your vendors. This is usually done over either in person or virtual. This is also where the wedding day timeline is finalized, and final coordination with vendors are done.
step 4
Rehearsal
The day prior to your wedding (or sometimes a few days before) we will gather all your closest friends & family and conduct a ceremony rehearsal. We will coordinate the entire rehearsal to make sure everyone is on the same page and knows what they are doing!

Your Wedding Day
Your big day is finally here! Congratulations! Now. its time to enjoy your big day with your loved ones while we take care of the rest. Sit back, relax and make those memories!
